The Mid-Tenn Open Classic Series is a family-oriented series of shows open to any breed of horse, registered or non-registered.  A series of five shows will be held at Midland Farm in Bell Buckle, Tennessee.  The facility offers a covered arena, outdoor warm-up pen and a covered round pen.  There are thirty stalls available at $10 each.  Stalls are already bedded and are first come-first served.  Reservations are available but payment must be received in advance to hold stalls.  Class entries are $7 each or a $40 all day fee for Youth and Adult.  Pee Wee entries are $7 or $20 all day fee.  PAYBACK CLASSES are $20 each.

Classes will be offered for both gaited and non-gaited (referred to as “stock”) horses.  There will be three divisions offered as follows:

YOUTH-Any person age 17 or under as of January 1st, 2012  Youth may not participate in Pee Wee or Adult but may show in open payback classes.

ADULT-Any person age 18 or over as of January 1st, 2012.  May show in any Adult or open payback classes.

PEE WEE-Any child age 10 or under as of January 1st, 2012.  May show in any Pee Wee class but may not cross over into youth classes. (May show in Leadline.)  Child may have one helper in arena while showing, however, placing will be determined by ability of child to perform with minimal assistance of helper. All classes are walk trot.

Ribbons will be awarded for first through fifth place.  Points will be accumulated throughout the show series and are based on horse-rider combination.  If another horse is to be substituted for remainder of season due to illness, injury or hardship, this information must be submitted in writing and entered into the record.  Points on both horses will count toward year end award.  Only one substitution will be allowed per show season.  Exhibitors may show more than one horse but points will be recorded only on horse-rider combination.  Year End Awards will be given out at the final show of the series, held September 17th, 2011.  A Grand and Reserve will be awarded in all three divisions.

Banding, hoof polish, tail extensions or show tack are optional.  Gaited horses will be shown flat shod.  Entries will be judged on way of going, not appointments.  Helmets are encouraged but not required, with the exception of over-fences classes.  Negative Coggins required at time of entry.  Show dates are rain or shine as follows:  April 28th ,MAY 19th, June 30th, JULY 14th, AUGUST 18th, SEPTEMBER 22th, Oct 20th.

Hello Everyone !
Show season is here at last!!! Due to the great weather everyone has got a jump-start on things and are ready to go.  Interest in the Series has been spreading and there should be some great competition this year.  Stalls are limited so if you want to reserve yours please let us know., either e-mail or call.
We have been approved by both the Paint Horse and American Ranch Horse to be eligable for outside competition credit.  Please check with your breed registry for their rules and regulations.  We will have blank applications for both organizations available at all of our shows.
People have been showing interest in having a clinic after our first show.  It will highlight showmanship, horsemanship, trail and rail work.  As soon as we can set a date we'll let everyone know.  Cost will include stall for the day, lunch and all segments to the clinic .  Non-participants may come and watch.  Details will be upcoming.
As always, if anyone has anything they'd like to sell you may set up along the rail in the grooming stalls @ no charge.  Sell, swap, give away-bring your extra tack and supplies or maybe old show clothes, who knows?
If anyone has any ideas or thoughts to share, please call or e-mail =cat=
